"The Best Fun Ever!"

Our day began with a trip to the Park for a promised ride on the paddle boats. I had taken them just two at a time over spring break and felt pretty confident that I could navigate this crew around the little lake...no problem! They strapped on their life-jackets and away we went! It was a beautiful summer day and we had a great time on the lake soaking in the sun. We all took turns with both the pedaling and steering...the big kids did a great job keeping us on a fairly straight course, but Brady thought it was much more fun to turn the wheel all the way one direction, and then the other! Kacey made sure everyone knew it was her 2yr old brother making us swerve this way and that! Somehow we only got stuck on the bank three or four times! Our hour ride was a much shorter route than what we were used to! (which was actually fine with me because it was pretty darn tricky to hold the little guy so his feet could reach those pedals!) We finished up, cooled off with an icy cold Fitz*s Root Beer, and went for a walk around the park. Now if anyone has any sort of connection with the Park rangers or security crew down there, you can just go ahead and stop reading now! This all started quite innocently..."ok kids, yeah you can get your feet wet..." ...quickly turned into "The best fun EVER!" And that's really sayin' something, cause we have a lot of fun around here!
They really had a blast! I could have stayed all afternoon! It's just too bad that the next time we went to "dip our feet in the fountain," a park security officer was telling everyone to get out. It was then that we saw the signs posted at the bottom of the hill... "NO SWIMMING" oops! We're just glad he wasn't there to spoil our fun THAT day!
